Dig it! There's a new dance band in St. Louis called the Soul Alliance.
TSA is new on the scene and would love to have your vote in the Alive magazine Emerging Artist competition. As a rule we don't believe in the competition thing but we want everyone in the area to know about our availability for the upcoming event season so we're going for it. Rock Steady (Remix) by the Soul Alliance


The Soul Alliance features CocoSoul on vocals and is led by Maurice "Mo" Egeston. They are well known for their work individually as original music artists for the past 15 years.

CocoSoul is a dynamic singer, songwriter, musician, actress and vocal coach. She lived in Atlanta for over 10 years where she worked with numerous producers as a songwriter for major artists. In 2005 she was voted Best R&B Singer in the RiverFrontTimes Music Poll. Currently Coco is active with Cafe Soul which was voted best Live Open Mic in the RFT 2007 (with Angela Brown and Nichol Stevenson).

Pianist, composer and educator Mo Egeston's presence on the scene began on Washington Avenue during the beginnings of the St. Louis loft district club scene in the mid 90s. He's led groups as diverse as Invincible Groov (house band at the Green Room) Vargas Swing and Urban Jazz Naturals. Since Vargas Swing in 1997 he collaborated with Dawn Weber(.com) culminating in the popular club act mo & dawn. (paused in 2008). As well as the Soul Alliance you can find mo with Lamar Harris, Urban Groov Project (live house) and the Brothers Lazaroff (Jam, Folk and Americana).

The sound will focus on bringing the sounds of the club dance floor to the live stage. Mary J, Aretha, Lisa Stansfield, Chaka, Crystal Waters, Beyonce, Lenny Kravitz, Robyn S, Jill Scott, Stevie Wonder and original grooves. The Soul Alliance plays em like they wrote them so expect a dynamic show

Catch us at Lumiere Place-Aqua March 13-14 and April 3 & 4. Also at the Fashion Week Event at Lumiere Theater as a part of the Macy's Runway Show on March 28.
